Ο Ντέιβιντ Ουάιλς είναι καθηγητής Θεάτρου στο κολέγιο Royal Holloway του Πανεπιστημίου του Λονδίνου. Έχει επίσης γράψει τα κεφάλαια για το ρωμαϊκό και το μεσαιωνικό δράμα στο "Oxford Illustrated History of Theatre" (1995).
